Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South club Salisbury FC have signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Liam Driscoll on loan from SkyBet Championship side Reading.

Liam came through various youth sides and representative teams in Western Australia and played for Perth Glory's under-18 side.

But although, of English descent, his aim was to forge a career in English football and trialled with several clubs in 2015.

In July 2015, he was signed by Reading on a two-year scholarship and impressed throughout his first year.

The 2016/17 season was a key one for Driscoll as he regularly impressed with stand-out performances for Reading under-18's but also progressed to making his under-23 debut.

He was rewarded with a professional contract in the summer of 2017 and joined the first-team on their pre-season tour, followed by a very successful loan playing for Staines Town giving him his first taste of senior football and then an invitation to training with an England goalkeeper camp.
