Greene Makes Double Blades Loan Swoop

Following the departure of Akwasi Asante on loan to Vanarama National League North side Chester FC, Dennis Greene, manager of Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division Central club Tamworth, moved quickly to add to his forward options.

Greene made a double loan capture of David Parkhouse and Reon Potts from SkyBet Championship high-flyers Sheffield United.

Striker Parkhouse, who was named amongst the substitutes for United's Carabao Cup first round tie against Hull City in August, is a current Northern Ireland under-21 international.

He joined The Blades as a 16-year-old from Maiden City in his homeland and has recently returned from spending a month on loan with Greene`s former club, Vanarama National League North outfit Boston United.

Potts - a forward comfortable in both wide and central areas - has progressed all the way through the junior ranks with The Blades.

Parkhouse joins the Lambs for an initial three months, while Potts joins for an initial one-month period.
