Management Change

It is with great regret that Kempston Rovers Football Club announces the resignation of joint managers Jimmy Stoyles and Gary Flinn.

Both Stoyles and Flinn joined Kempston in November 2013 and managed to steer the club up the league table to the end of the season.

Since then, they have managed to see Rovers promoted to the Southern League as champions of the United Counties League as well as winning the North Bedfordshire Charity Cup. The pair has guided Kempston to their highest ever finish in the football pyramid- just missing out on the playoffs for the last two seasons, but felt that the time was right to resign, citing a mismatch in the timescale of their ambitions for the club, with that of the committee.
Stoyles and Flinn first took charge of Kempston Rovers on the 9th of November 2013 for a 4-3 win against Desborough Town, in all the pair have taken charge of two hundred and fifty-nine games for Rovers, winning one hundred and thirty-three.

Kempston Rovers thanks Jimmy and Gary for all their efforts over the last five years and wish them the very best to both Jimmy and Gary the very best for their future and look forward to welcoming them back to Hillgrounds should our paths cross again someday.

The first team coaches Stuart Mellon and Tony Joyce will take control of first-team affairs for our matches this week against Luton Town and Didcot Town, after which time a further statement will be made.
