Bromsgrove sign experienced keeper

Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central high-flyer Bromsgrove Sporting have followed up the signing of young defender Louis Hall from Southern Premier Division Central side Stourbridge by acquiring experienced goalkeeper Dan Crane.

Crane started his career with West Bromwich Albion and moved to Burton Albion and then onto the sadly now defunct Rushden & Diamonds - all before a brief spell with Bromsgrove Rovers.

He subsequently played for Corby Town and Solihull Moors before a lengthy seven-year spell with Hednesford Town.

He joined Vanarama National League North outfit Brackley Town in May 2015 before returning to the Pitmen and then moved to Rushall Olympic in the summer of 2017.

Manager Brendan Kelly told https://bromsgrovesporting.co.uk: “Dan will add a wealth of experience and leadership, which is something myself and assistant coach Andy Mason felt needed addressing.”.

Crane commented: “I’m looking forward to a fresh challenge back at my home-town club”.
