Three of Tuesday night`s five scheduled games in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South were postponed due to `Storm Gareth`. But one of the matches that did take place saw an extraordinary result.
That was at Merthyr Town`s Penydarren Park where new Dorchester Town boss Callum Brooks recorded his first win since joining the club in spectacular fashion.
The Magpies hammered the Martyrs 7-1 on their own patch!
And it was only 2-0 at half-time with Luke Winsper`s 8th-minute opener for the visitors being added to by Tom Blair right on the interval whistle.
But Antonio Diaz and Noah Keats went on to hit second-half braces, while Ben Seymour also scored for relegation-threatened Dorchester, who climbed into the fifteenth spot.
In fact, the Magpies effectively scored all eight goals as the hosts` only reply was a 61st minute Sam Jackson own goal!
Tuesday`s only other game saw Salisbury FC move into third place, just two points behind leaders Weymouth, whose game was off.
After some hard work forking the pitch got the game on, a crowd of 424 saw visiting Farnborough rock their high-flying hosts by going two-up with goals from Reggie Young after 11 minutes and Perry Coles on 24 minutes.
Crucially, Luke Hopper reduced the deficit 4 minutes before the break and 10 minutes after the restart, Darren Mullings pulled the Whites back on level terms.
And in the 2nd minute of time added on at the end of the game, Mullings popped up with the Salisbury winner.
