The Met Go Fifth

Premier South - Midweek Action

Metropolitan Police moved level on points with Harrow Borough and into fifth place in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South – one below Boro – after winning 1-0 at Imber Court on Tuesday night.

The decisive goal came 20 minutes from time when a fine run from Ollie Knight saw the ball squared for Max Blackmore to tap home from close range.

The derby between Poole Town and Dorchester Town at Tatnam saw the visiting Magpies triumph 1-0 to move up to sixteenth in the table and level on points with the Dolphins.

Ben Seymour`s neat finish in the 18th minute proved to be enough for Steve Thompson`s side.

Gosport Borough was beaten 1-0 at Ladysmead by Tiverton Town.

A fine volleyed goal from top scorer Levi Landricombe after just 6 minutes proved decisive.
